Extra small dummy - Mam Start

MAM Start is especially developed for newborn babies and can be used by infants with a birth weight of 2500 grams and until the baby is 2 months old. In order to fit even the tiniest baby-faces perfectly MAM Start is extra small and lightweight.

MAM Start is a symmetric dummy and can therefore not be placed upside down in your baby’s mouth. Both ways the dummy will adapt perfectly to the gums and palate. The dummy is designed in collaboration with orthodontists to ensure a healthy dental development.

The baglet is equipped with a valve, which ensures that the teat can be pressed together and thereby adapt to the baby’s rhythm and give sufficient room for tongue and palate – thus, pressure is relieved from gums, jaws and palate for a healthy oral development. The baglet is made of MAM’s own, patented silicone, MAM Silk Teat, which is softer and feels more natural than regular silicone – hence the name, Silk Teat. MAM Silk Teat feels skin-like, safe and soothing to your baby.

The shield is – like the teat – extra small and fits the little face perfectly. The butterfly shaped shield does not

Symmetrical shape

The symmetrically shaped dummy is a classic dummy that has been on the market for several years. The great advantage of this shape is that the dummy cannot be placed upwards down, and that it therefore automatically finds a natural and correct position in your child’s mouth. The symmetrical dummies – also known as butterfly pacifiers – are durable and the slightly flattened teat imitates a mother’s breast. In order to minimize the pressure on the child’s teeth, pallet and jaw, the teat is drop-shaped and symmetrical.

The shield is slightly curved in order to gently follow the facial curves and thereby reduce pressure as much as possible. It is equipped with air vents, which ensures that the skin stays ventilated and prevents it from getting too moist, which reduces the risk of skin irritation significantly.

MAM is the Worldwide market leading design brand in baby care. And with good reason. The company has on several occasions redefined the term ‘dummy’ and continuously keeps setting new standards for child care products.

The pacifiers are designed on the idea that parents shouldn’t have to choose between aesthetics and functionality. The pacifiers are developed in close cooperation with leading dental experts, designers, scientists and – naturally – parents. That MAM delivers extraordinary design and quality is underlined by the many design and user awards, that the manufacturer has received since the first dummy was sold in 1976.

All MAM Soothers are symmetrically shaped. In Dummyshop you can choose between the following MAM models: Air, Original, Original Night, Perfect, Perfect Night and Start.

In addition, we also offer a variety of beautiful and practical must-have accessories for dummies and anti-colic bottles by MAM.

Mam Silk Teat/SkinSoft Silicone

MAM Silk Teat/SkinSoft silicone is MAM's own, specially developed silicone. This type of silicone is 3x softer than regular silicone, and is therefore more gentle, soft and comfortable to suck on. The surface of MAM Silk Teat/SkinSoft is velvety soft, dirt-repellent and does not stick, which helps to give your child a safe and natural feeling. In addition, medical-grade silicone is used, which is the purest silicone material available.

Silicone is a durable and heat-tolerant material that is able to withstand the many sterilisations that dummies are exposed to during their lifetime. It is particularly suitable for infant dummies, as infants do not yet have a fully developed immune system, where it is therefore particularly important that the dummies are frequently sterilised.
